Our culture is all about trust and ownership.

We all agree to place fee tracking and verification in the hands of the advisor most familiar with each relationship. As the business owner, we rely on you to review your client fees collected and make sure they are correct.

In other words, lets tap the person who knows the accounts best to catch issues or errors before they occur.

A structured admin review and cross reference then provides the verification regulators expect, ensuring accuracy without diminishing advisor autonomy.

This approach accelerates the billing cycle, immensely reduces the potential for error, and reinforces a shared commitment to compliance and advisor ownership.

a simple process

  1. Create a billing folder in Box for the billing cycle. Right now in your Box drive you have a primary billing folder [Billing], inside you’ll create new folders for each cycle clearly identified, example: [2026Q1].
  2. Grab your executed fee reports **[here’s how]** and place those in the right Billing folder.
  3. Check your reports. Look through the list and make sure your fees reflect how your clients should have been billed. Look for any inconsistencies, double billings, things that don’t make sense. As the advisor and primary relationship with the client, you are the only one who can see when something doesn’t look right.
  4. Now you have your reports, they look good, and you have an executed fee revenue total, submit those numbers in your [Revenue Center]

🔷 all done!

wait, couldn't we just plug custodial data into this system and link it to payroll to automate the whole thing? we totally could, but some things are sacred space for purposeful friction:
