get personal
When we think about a Personal Brand, the most important thing we must consider is how the client interacts with us. We can let our personal voice shine, but we must present it in such a way that wouldn’t cause confusion for prospects or clients.
It’s important that we’re clear as to which entity is the registered firm so that prospects and clients have the ability to perform due diligence on the firm and its members.
This will be accomplished through transparent conversation and disclosure.
Important considerations:
- The title or naming of a personal brand shouldn’t in any way deceive a prospect or client as being a separately Registered Investment firm.
- Social profiles such as LinkedIn may reflect your personal brand, but you should also list Core Planning so that prospects and clients can perform proper due diligence and understand your relationship with Core Planning.
- You are free to choose a domain host. Personally, we love and recommend Squarespace as its SEO tools are pretty simple to master. As well, the more of us using the same platform, the better we’ll be able to help each other with advice, tips, and troubleshooting.
- The footer of each landing page must include the verbiage: advisory services offered through Core Planning LLC, a Registered Investment Advisor.
- The footer of each landing page should include a link to our web disclosures: https://www.corepln.com/disclosures
- The footer of each blog post should also include a link to our web disclosures: https://www.corepln.com/disclosures
- Each of us must maintain an email address within the @corepln.com domain which serves as an access point of many core systems. Of course, you’re free and encouraged to use the @corepln.com Outlook system for client communication.
- If for some reason an advisor wishes to use a custom email domain, all TO and FROM emails should be auto forwarded and archived within the @corepln.com Outlook system.
- The email signature / footer must also contain the same disclosures as above.
